Are you prepared for changes to the Wood Dust Exposure Limit? In January 2020, all those involved in the woodworking industry must be prepared for changes to the wood dust exposure limit.
The current exposure limit from dust created during both hardwood and softwood processing is 5mgm³.
However, in the new year, the limit for hardwood and mixed wood dust exposure is set to be reduced by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to 3mg/m³.
These regulation changes have come in response to more research on the risks of exposure.
The major challenge for many businesses is to ensure they have adapted their work area to be in compliance with this new wood dust exposure limit by January 2020.
Here is where Extractly can help you thanks to our years of expertise in dust extraction, with a specialism in the woodworking industry.

Don’t take the chance on risking your employee’s safety, or you may face action from the HSE.
